The Student Programs Talent Advisor will serve as the global single-threaded leader for the student hiring needs of one of Amazon’s key lines of business (AWS, WW Consumer, Operations, etc.). This person will partner strategically with senior leaders across HR, Talent Acquisition (TA), Finance, and the customer-facing business, and also with their internal SP team colleagues as the voice of the supported business. The Talent Advisor will be responsible for: 1) designing and owning a refreshed business engagement model with senior leaders in a given business to understand and support student talent needs, 2) supporting HR and TA leaders in forecasting their business demand for student talent - by profile and geography - and ensuring SP quality of hire through accurate profile definition and aligned assessment methods, 3) implementing trusted Amazon mechanisms like MBR/QBR, narratives, and email status updates to keep stakeholders informed and drive meaningful discussion that leads to action, 4) working with global partners to ensure a holistic approach to student hiring and candidate experience, and 5) innovating to launch new initiatives or programs to support the onboarding and integration of student talent into Amazon – thinking big about both candidate experience and the future of Amazon’s global workforce.

  • Proven ability to influence without authority and support/represent cross-functional teams across levels, geographies, and cultures
  • Self-starting, entrepreneurial spirit with understanding of how to use data and calculated risk-taking to drive innovative change
  • Analytical experience producing reporting and data-driven insights
  • Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced, ambiguous, deadline-oriented work environment
  • Track record of successfully delivering high-profile, high-risk employee-facing products or programs
  • Experience in organizational design and proven results in optimizing teams
  • Familiarity with an agile development process and past successful partnership with tech teams
