Lead Business Analyst, Lease Controller Implementation and Support

Work you’ll do
  • Assist our team with the execution of client engagements from both technical and engagement management perspectives.
  • Become a subject matter expert in Business Analysis and incident management.
  • Own and manage relevant reports and dashboards, working with multiple areas and levels to provide solutions to client needs.
  • Drive business insights for leadership, leveraging data and analysis from firm systems while identifying trends, patterns, and focus areas.
  • Assist with driving the vision, roadmap, and requirements for LeaseController.
  • Play a critical role in managing the helpdesk tickets. Work with the clients to understand and prioritize needs while proactively suggesting future enhancements and improvements.
  • Define, draft, and validate business and functional requirements and related acceptance criteria.
  • Conduct user acceptance testing to ensure solutions are defect-free and achieve design requirements.
  • Provide advanced technical or business support for issues, as escalated by the LeaseController team.
  • Assist with the accuracy and ongoing maintenance of data quality.
  • Assist with presentations of LeaseController to promote usage and understanding of capabilities.
  • Assist with the development of training, communications, best practices, and FAQs.
  • Coordinate and contribute to team projects to promote a growth culture.

The Team
Our Financial Technology practice develops and licenses a growing family of proprietary software products (see http://www.deloitte.com/us/financialtechnology) to assist clients with a number of complex topics such as lease accounting and the accounting and the administration of investments in leveraged loans.
As the Lead Business Analyst, you will be an integral part of the team that develops and implements LeaseController to support growing Deloitte’s Controllership business. As a focused Business Analyst within the LeaseController team, you will play a critical role in supporting requirements gatherings, addressing client questions, and represent us to the client while adhering to Deloitte values.
Qualifications
Required:
  • Years of Relevant Experience: 3 to 7 years
  • Proficient in SQL(read and write SQL queries)
  • 2+ years of experience in business analysis and product development of software-based solutions.
  • Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Exhibit superior organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Graduate degree in Engineering (Computer Science / IT / Electronics).

Preferred:
  • Demonstrate proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, incident management, agile and traditional project management applications.
  • Be a team player that works well in collaborative and matrix management situations.
  • Be a highly organized and detail-oriented self-starter.
  • Get up-to-speed quickly and demonstrate solid decision-making skills.
  • Be able to collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team, including audit practitioners, developers, and testers.
  • Postgraduate in Business (MBA / PGDBM) or IT (MS / MTech. in Systems)
