Job Description
Etsy is seeking a skilled full-stack engineer with a strong interest in working with data at scale to join our experimentation platform initiative.
About Experimentation Platform
The Experimentation Platform team is tasked with improving Etsy’s A/B testing tools and experiment ecosystem, which are critical for the company’s product development success. Teams across Etsy use the experimentation platform to learn, make product decisions, and measure the impact of new features. We work in Scala, SQL, Java, PHP, Python and Javascript frameworks such as React; with big data frameworks like Hadoop, Kafka, Spark, Airflow, Vertica, Looker and Google Cloud products such as Dataproc, Dataflow and BigQuery. Experience with any of these is helpful but not required.
The team is part of the Data Technology organization, which builds systems and infrastructure for collecting, storing, and analyzing huge sets of data in batch and streaming pipelines. We value curiosity, enthusiasm, responsibility and generosity of spirit.
About the Role
  • Help to improve Etsy’s experimentation platform, including experiment bucketing, event logging, our offline data processes, and web UI for data visualization
  • Participate in developing innovative solutions to complex business problems such as experiment setup, data collection and visualization
  • Collaborate with team members to dig into issues with experiment setup and data collection

This is a full-time role located in our Brooklyn offices but we are open to remote candidates.
