Facebook’s Global Operations Learning Organization (GOLO) is searching for a Learning Operations Leader with experience managing a multi-million-dollar portfolio of global learning projects supporting multiple business verticals. Facebook’s Global Operations Learning Organization’s mission is to help Global Operations to achieve its organizational goals through the development of knowledge and skills. If you have a proven track-record of successfully managing large portfolios of learning projects and leading the development of quality deliverables, on-time and within budget, we want you to join our learning leadership team. The Learning Operations leader will help us to lead on a global scale while improving our organizational efficiency and effectiveness by ensuring that we allocate our resources to the highest impact work. The ideal candidate will have experience establishing a Project Management Office (PMO) along with the enabling processes, tools, and systems to ensure the highest and best use of our resources.We are looking for a Learning Operations Leader who will lead a global team of portfolio and project managers and oversee the outsourcing of work to multiple learning and development vendors worldwide. This leader must be culturally aware, process oriented with structured problem-solving skills and an ability to work cross functionally. A bias for execution while maintaining a strategic mindset on the future is required to be successful in this role.
  • Manage the GOLO Project Management Office.
  • Implement and oversee centralized project intake, prioritization and resource allocation for the entire GOLO function.
  • Prepare and manage the annual budget and budget allocation by portfolio, determine headcount requirements and allocation by portfolio, liaise with GO Finance team on all budget preparation and tracking activities throughout the year.
  • Prepare, manage, and facilitate the GOLO Monthly Business Review and Quarterly Business Reviews as well as other executive-level reports.
  • Develop mechanisms for increasing stakeholder engagement and transparency into our roadmaps and portfolios of work.
  • Develop the GOLO outsourcing strategy, outsourcing model, and learning vendor management protocols.
  • Learning Point of Contact (POC) for a line of business supported by GO.
  • GOLO’s main liaison to Internal Audit for both internal and external audits with learning in-scope.
  • Drive continuous improvement through feedback processes to elevate performance of all GOLO sub-functions.
  • Lead, coach, and mentor a diverse and globally dispersed team of Learning Portfolio and Project Managers, with an emphasis on continual performance improvement and development at both the individual and team level.
  • Role requires 15% domestic and international travel.
  • 10+ years experience in project management
  • 5+ years experience in portfolio management
  • 10+ years experience leading teams
  • 5+ years experience leading virtual teams
  • Process design and implementation experience
  • Structured problem-solving skills and organization
  • Culturally aware and sensitive to empathically manage global teams
  • Experience leading and coaching teams in a fast-paced and ambiguous environment
  • 5+ years experience managing learning projects
  • 5+ years experience in Performance Consulting and Instructional Design
  • PMP certification
  • Experience with lean six sigma methodologies
  • Direct experience with supporting Global Operations
