The Cloud & Cognitive Expert Labs practice is responsible for delivering consulting engagements that utilize software in the IBM Automation, Data and AI, and AI Applications brands worldwide. The Cloud & Cognitive Expert Labs practice contains Architects, Product Specialists and Project Managers with deep product skills that can help accelerate a client journey to maximize the value of a software implementation. The engagement sizes range from strategy and quick start deployments to First of a Kind (FOAK) implementations.
Your Role and Responsibilities
The primary responsibility of the Data and AI Delivery Project Manager is to manage efforts of IBM resources and client employees as well as third-party vendors to ensure that an integrated solution is provided to meet the client needs. In this role, the Data and AI Delivery Project Manager will be responsible for delivering a portfolio of projects. The Data and AI Delivery Project Manager works independently but keeps leadership promptly apprised of work status, raising issues of risk to the appropriate level and at the appropriate time; works effectively and efficiently with minimal oversight; advises and provides guidance to other professionals; seeks guidance on key issues as appropriate; and has a solid level of expertise in project management. The Data and AI Delivery Project Manager is responsible for the overall project plan, budget, structure, schedule and staffing requirements for the delivery organization.Your Roles and Responsibilities:
Provide project management discipline and a framework to Cloud and Cognitive Software (C&CS) Expert Labs project teams
Provide technical direction and control to coordinate and manage the activities of project personnel
Create Project Management deliverables
Maintain project communications with the client
- Create regular status reports
Conduct regular status meetings with clients and project stakeholders
Provide monthly financial forecasts to Delivery Leaders
Keep management cadence with the Delivery Leaders to provide insight on project status
Develop knowledge of C&CS Expert Labs offerings with awareness on emerging technologies and solutions
Administer the contract change control procedure with the client
If you are hired into a Colorado work location, the anticipated compensation range for the position $73,000 to $113,000 is based on a full-time schedule. Your ultimate compensation may vary depending on your job-related skills and experience. For part time roles, the compensation will be adjusted appropriately.
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
At least 3 years of experience working in a consultative services organization
Experience managing Package Integration and Development Projects
Customer interface experience in consulting and professional services
Proven Project Management experience (PMP, Scrum Master, PMI-ACP, or other certifications)
Experience working with multiple project methodologies
Solid personal leadership and management skills with a collaborative style
Ability to travel up to 75% when required
Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
Ability to participate in a virtual office setting and maintain an active and dynamic presence via phone and email
Excellent customer service, relationship management, and facilitation skills
