Your Role and Responsibilities
Are you a critical thinker, a writer, editor and consummate story teller? Can you translate complex concepts in to clear, consumable, actionable content for buyers, sellers, partners and peers? Do you have first hand corporate communications experience in the technology sector? If so, we are currently looking for the right person to join our team as the Worldwide Communication, Digital and customer experience lead for the IBM Passport Advantage and IBM Subscription and Annuity Business
The ideal candidate must
  • Be a creative AND strategic thinker with exceptional writing, editing and story telling skills
  • Possess a deep appreciation and respect for audience and be committed to delivering the best possible end-user experience -whether that audience is new to IBM, an established client, an IBM Business Partner or an IBM peer
  • Have experience decoding and explaining complex processes, programs and technologies to diverse audiences (including clients, channel partners, product development, marketing, sales and support professionals)in ways that help them make smart decisions and act on them
  • Cultivate strong collaborative relationships within IBM and the IBM ecosystem to drive strategic initiatives and deliver growth and defined outcomes
    Responsibilities:
  • Manage IBM Passport Advantage Program and Subscription and Annuity communications across all channels and in all on and offline formats
  • Produce blogs, newsletters, emails, marketing collateral, videos, how-tos and FAQs to generate interest, raise awareness, influence behaviors and outcomes that have a direct impact on
  • Renewals
  • New license sales
  • Upgrades and trade-ups
  • Migration from more traditional on-prem licensing models to subscriptions
  • Adoption of strategic IBM Hybrid Cloud and AI technologies
  • Develop a feedback engine that invites users to ask questions and submit comments to help enhance and improve end-user experience and satisfaction
  • Provide writing and editorial support for the larger cross-functional IBM Passport Advantage, Licensing and Subscription and Annuity organization
  • Manage / Maintain a secure download repository for all external Passport Advantage and Passport Advantage Online collateral including brochures, data sheets, How-tos, FAQs, licensing guides
  • Manage / Maintain a library of licensing metrics and tables, among them
  • Cloud Service Descriptions to be used by Product Managers in IBM Service Description (SD) documents
  • Distributed Software license (price) metrics for use in IBM Program License Information (LI) documents and announcement letters
  • Value Unit Exhibit (VUE) conversion tables mapped to the products that use them
  • Select and engage IBM approved video and creative agencies to develop and deliver collateral for use on the Web and at events

Required Technical and Professional Expertise
  • 20+ years in corporate communications and digital delivery, or similar experience in-house or in an agency setting.
  • Proven writing and editing experience designed to engage, educate, market, and sell to diverse audiences

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
  • DRUPAL: open-source content management platform for IBM support and technical communities
  • Seismic: IBM's global sales enablement platform
  • Distributed Software (DSW) tools and applications including the entitled Passport Advantage Online sites for customer and resellers
  • IBM PartnerWorld: IBM's entitled partner portal
  • IBM Distributed software licensing models
  • IBM privacy, data protection, security and lifecycle policies
