Microsoft Managed Desktop (MMD) is a groundbreaking, customer-first offering from the M365 Security, Compliance and Management (S-C-M) division at Microsoft. We are building an intelligent cloud service to re-define how devices are managed and secured. You will have an opportunity to partner with various teams across Microsoft – Windows 365, Identity service (AAD), Microsoft Endpoint Manager service (MEM), Endpoint security, and Desktop Analytics to build a set of global services and operations at scale to create a secure, productive, and turnkey computing environment for enterprises.

As a Senior Service Engineer in this team, you will be central to the service and enable customers to transform to modern device management whilst adopting our cloud technologies. You will help scale MMD operations management through automation. You will directly work with customers to evaluate, debug, troubleshoot, and help resolve customer issues. You will closely work with software engineers and program managers to build the best-in-class features.   • Evaluate customer specific requests to recommend and determine the best path forward.
  • Engineering, testing and releasing customization changes for MMD customers.
  • Debugging, troubleshooting, and taking responsibility to see that the issue is fully resolved.
  • Communicate technically complex information with Microsoft’s customers verbally and in writing with customer empathy.
  • Provide actionable feedback to the engineering teams by isolating software bugs, surfacing customer pain points, and collecting and inferring customer enhancements.
Basic Qualifications
  • 3+ years of deep troubleshooting skills in Microsoft Office 365 / EMS / Windows 10.
  • 3+ years of experience in customer support, product support, IT Admin Support, consulting, or systems development/management.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and experience especially on Windows client devices.
  • Experience with PowerShell solutions for Windows client/server.
  • Ability to partner within virtual teams towards executing on multiple technical initiatives simultaneously.
  • Ability to operate effectively and independently in a dynamic environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 3+ years’ experience with C# and .NET, PowerShell, Web Services, Java.
  • B.S. degree in C.S. or E.E. or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Familiar with Windows endpoint configuration via SCCM or Intune policy CSP.
  • Familiar with Windows endpoint security with design and best practices.
  • Windbg debugging experience.
  • Networking and cloud identity troubleshooting.
  • Ability to drive solutions that interact with large system.
