Permanent Spotify is seeking an outstanding Category Development Officer for the QSR & Dining vertical. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of the challenges QSR, Fast Casual, and Full-Service dining brands are faced with, and will be able to identify consumer trends that Spotify Advertising can address. Working closely with our business marketing, product development and research & measurement teams, you will build category-specific solutions at scale. You thrive on innovation and developing go-to-market strategies that our verticalized sales teams can action to meet client needs. You are the narrator of Spotify’s broad solutions for the QSR & Dining category and the voice of Spotify to the industry, providing thought-leadership and high-touch client engagement. Your core KPIs include driving net new revenue growth for Spotify and a deeper understanding of the industry among Spotify Advertising teams.
What You'll Do
  • Influence buyer behaviors across Spotify’s QSR & Dining global client base
  • Help define Spotify’s strategic approach to the QSR & Dining category
  • Maximize revenue to the vertical through the creation and marketing of products and services targeted specifically to QSR & Dining vertical needs
  • Report on industry trends and buyer insights from relevant industry research
  • Maintain Spotify’s QSR & Dining narrative in partnership with marketing teams
  • Align with product marketing and measurement teams to build scalable product solutions
  • Provide strategic client engagement and industry thought-leadership
  • Understand global category needs and refine regional strategy as needed
  • Be the voice of Spotify category expertise at key client events and industry speaking engagements

Who You Are
  • 10+ years of experience working in the QSR & Dining advertising and marketing space, leading and designing strategy and driving measurable results
  • Deep domain expertise, working in or with category leaders
  • A collaborator who has expertly navigated complex, matrixed organizations, demonstrating their ability to influence others and build trust
  • Strong analytical skills, with a forensic understanding of industry data and the ability to translate it to actions Spotify Advertising clients should take
  • Strong executive presence with decision makers and C-level executives, inside and outside of Spotify
  • Highly motivated to achieve results in a team environment
  • Ability to be scrappy and in the weeds when needed
  • Comfort navigating the “grey areas” of a changing landscape
  • Operates with honesty and sound judgment
  • No Ego; high level of humility and sense of self
  • Relates well to all levels of an organization
  • High level of agility; comfort with ambiguity and constant change
  • Strong self-starter; able to set a vision for how they operate within Spotify

Where You'll Be
  • Our offices are currently closed due to COVID-19.
  • Post COVID, while we will ask you to pop into the office from time to time, we are giving you the flexibility to work from home should you choose to do so.
  • This position will be based in Chicago, IL.
