Job Description
The Manager of Commercialization will be a member of Visa's Commercialization team, which is responsible for bringing best in class product solutions to market that support Visa’s clients and market needs. The Manager will be responsible for go-to-market and commercialization of Visa’s Digital and Risk Solutions in partnership with clients, industry leading brands and technology platform providers. He/she/they will develop localized product and go-to-market strategies, commercial constructs (i.e. pricing, contracting), and drive large-scale cross-functional efforts, to successfully launch and bring Visa’s Digital and Risk solutions to scale in North America. The Manager will also be responsible for utilizing his/her/their industry, market and product expertise, to proactively educate the Visa organization on go to market developments and opportunities to drive sell-in / activation, with respect to these solutions. The position is based in San Francisco, or Foster City, California.
  • Define market requirements and provide feedback, from the go to market process, to global product teams for specific solutions
  • Work with global product to develop a localized view of support solutions and to ensure that the product strategy is tailored for the NA market and meets client needs
  • Develop or revise business cases to be robust, to size the market opportunity, derive revenue estimates and determine client / Visa ROI based on a detailed go-to-market strategy and plan
  • Evaluate product / solution related regulatory and operational risks, adherence to Visa Rules, and IP considerations
  • Develop an overarching GTM strategy and plan including:
    • Client segmentation / targeting criteria and considerations
    • Commercial constructs, terms, agreements and pricing structures
    • Pilot framework and strategy, launch communications plan and execution framework
    • Launch and execution plan for general availability
  • Develop and disseminate materials to educate internal and external stakeholders on new product offerings
  • Orchestrate cross-functional coordination to execute pilots and formal product launches, as well as to accelerate product adoption


Basic Qualifications:

  • 4 years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 2 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 0 years of work experience with a PhD degree

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Product development, deployment, management consulting or banking experience (4-6 years)
  • Strategic thinker with superior analytical and problem solving skills
  • Solid execution and delivery skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Tools (i.e. PowerPoint, Excel, Teams)
  • Payments experience preferred
  • Experience with financial modeling or business case development is a plus

Work Hours:

This is a full-time position. This position requires the incumbent to be available during core business hours
Travel Requirements:
This position requires the incumbent to travel for work less than 10% of the time
Mental/Physical Requirements:
This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers, reach with hands and arms, and bend or lift up to 25 pounds.
